ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is part of an integrated system of health care known as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that has an uninterrupted system of development dating back thousands of years in China and other parts of South-East Asia.
Acupuncture takes a holistic approach to understanding and disease processes.

Does Acupuncture Really Work?
The short answer is “Yes”. Most people are skeptical at first. The idea of sticking needles into the body to make you feel better just doesn’t sound right.
But my first acupuncture treatment was a revelation !
After bashing my head against a tree in a skiing accident at Falls Creek, I visited an acupuncturist, chiropractor in Brisbane in 1980.
I was very curious to see if the needle insertion would be painful since I hated needles. But I quickly discovered that hardly anything more than tiny pinch when the ultra- thin and more slender than a human hair are inserted. Most of the time I now know that nothing at all is felt upon needle insertion.
The second thing I noticed was how deeply relaxed, I felt when I was on the massage table when the needles were inserted. The feeling lasts for hours and days even though the needles are removed after 30 minutes.
In addition to feeling relaxed, I also felt healthier and more relaxed than I had in a long time.
And WOW after 30 minutes in treatment, I left that clinic and had so much pain relief and energy that I ran around the block not once, but twice.
Maximum benefits are always gained by a course of acupuncture treatments and naturopathy follow-up appointments..
